Through learning the skills of juggling and other circus arts, kids see that anything worth learning takes practice and that with practice and a positive attitude, they can learn almost anything. Tightwire, stilts, acrobatics, rolo bolo, unicycling, spinning plates, and physical comedy (clowning) are just some of the areas of focus. Improvements in hand-eye coordination, balance, and self-confidence are just some of the noticeable benefits. Teaching the kids as much as possible is the passion of the coaches, most of whom are professional circus/variety entertainers with children of their own. Highlights of the week include Pie in the Face Day and the big camper show on Friday.
Camp is under the direction of Michael Rosman, a graduate of Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown College and veteran of many circus performances in both traditional American and Cirque-style shows. Michael and his coaches have more than 30 years of experience teaching circus skills.
