In this 2-week performance camp, campers will explore the fundamentals of singing, dancing, acting, and creative drama while working towards an ensemble performance of Oliver! JR. Featuring classic songs like “Consider Yourself,” “Food Glorious Food,” and “Oom-Pah-Pah,” Oliver! JR. tells the story of Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse in Victorian England who escapes to London and finds acceptance among a group of petty thieves and pickpockets. Roles will be cast at the start of camp. This camp culminates in a performance in The Blair Family Center for the Arts theater for families and friends on the last day of the session. Each day of camp is treated as a rehearsal, so campers are encouraged to practice singing, dancing, and memorizing lines at home.
